Taking inspiration from Victorian entomology specimens these counted cross stitch butterflies make wonderful faux taxidermy. Stitched in embroidery threads on perforated paper the finished butterflies are cut out and may be mounted in a simple black box frame or suspended on wires to give the impression of flying.
The kit contains all you need to stitch your butterfly: Full colour instructions and charts, 14count perforated cross stitch paper, Anchor stranded embroidery thread, John James needle, black antennae, white backing card.
You will also need: Strong glue, a craft knife and scissors
The finished butterfly measures approximately 12cm x 7.5cm.
